Concert: The Church Year in Music

May 31, 2026 at 3pm | The music ministry of Holy Trinity Anglican Church will present a free concert on Sunday, May 31, at 3:00 pm. This program will feature musical selections and audience singing that correspond to the major redemptive events in the earthly life of Christ: Advent, Christmas, Epiphany, Lent, Holy Week, Easter, Ascension, Pentecost, and Trinity. Each of these segments will present a hymn for the audience to sing, a piece for organ or stringed instruments, and a choral work, all based on the same hymn melody.

There will be music by J.S. Bach, Michael Praetorius, Jan Sweelinck, Claude Goudimel, Dietrich Buxtehude, and others. Performers will include period-instrument players from the Raleigh Camerata, the Holy Trinity Chamber Choir, and Paul Harris, organ and director. The choral works will be sung in their original languages. Free parking is available on the east side of the church building, and in the Peace College parking lots across the street.
