Christianity is a historically grounded faith. It is founded upon and bears witness to historical events surrounding the life and ministry of Jesus of Nazareth – most centrally his resurrection from the dead. Did Jesus of Nazareth rise from the dead? This is the chief historical question on which Christianity stands or falls.

What would happen if a historian investigated this question?
